Let's face it. Video game controllers can get nasty. That's why you need to clean them. Here is how.
First remove the batteries! Then take a cleaning toothbrush or a new toothbrush to brush out grime, dust and anything else that is stuck under and between all the buttons, joysticks, etc. Work from top to bottom, otherwise you will most likely have to clean the bottom a second time if you start there first.
Then using a mixture of half rubbing alcohol and half water, mist one quarter of a microfiber cloth. Don't make it sopping wet. You do not want any of the mixture getting into the controller. Wipe the controller from top to bottom using a little more pressure for harder stains and grime. Wipe in a circular motion. No need to dry due to the rubbing alcohol. Do the same thing with a cotton swap to get in places you could not with the cloth.
Lastly, grab a scrap piece of paper and fold it into 4 equal parts. Using the corner, stick in in the seams of the controller and slide it around. More grime will come out. After that is all done, give it one more wipe.
